Brenden & Dylan, I cannot upload the video, so I will burn it to a disc for you. You will want to watch it before our exam as there will be questions based on the material within it. Abby, Check the history page for the lecture on Roman "religion". The quotation marks are there because there wasn't really a set of beliefs, just a lot of different traditions. Some were Roman, most came from the people the Romans came into contact with or conquered. For Science, see the science site to review key terms. As mentioned in class we've pushed back our RNA model to this week. For History, we saw the Circus Maximus, Pantheon, Roman roads, Baths of Caraculla, Trajan's Forum, and the Colosseum/Coliseum. Check out the video below and compare it to what we saw and talked about. Remember to watch Augustus and Imperial Rome. The gentleman is a Christian speaker, but he breaks down the transition from Republic to Empire. The idea is to focus on how the Republic falls and becomes an Empire. The full video is here: http://www.brucegore.com Search for the term "Augustus" and it will pop up. Ask your parents for help if it won't work.
We will continue to work with our DNA models in Science. Review the powerpoint if you need help finishing the homework or contact me with questions. Heavy rains bring down Pompeii wall |
